{"id":1214,"date":"2025-03-17T08:36:08","date_gmt":"2025-03-17T08:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/duggarsamvad.in\/?p=1214"},"modified":"2025-03-17T08:36:10","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T08:36:10","slug":"vice-president-dhankhar-expresses-gratitude-as-leaders-across-party-lines-inquire-about-his-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/duggarsamvad.in\/?p=1214","title":{"rendered":"Vice President Dhankhar Expresses Gratitude as Leaders Across Party Lines Inquire About His Health"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Vice President <em>Jagdeep Dhankhar<\/em> on Monday expressed his deep gratitude towards leaders across party lines who reached out to his family to inquire about his health during his recent hospitalization for cardiac-related ailments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resuming his duties as the Chairman of the <em>Rajya Sabha<\/em>, Dhankhar shared that he was &#8220;greatly touched&#8221; by the concern shown by various political figures, which he believes contributed to his speedy recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Leader of the House (Union Minister <em>Jagat Prakash Nadda<\/em>) and the Leader of the Opposition (<em>Mallikarjun Kharge<\/em>) were among the first ones to contact my family. <em>Sonia Gandhi<\/em> reached out to my wife, and several Chief Ministers, including <em>West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee<\/em>, also inquired about my health,&#8221; Dhankhar revealed in the Upper House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Warm Wishes from Political Leaders<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While narrating his experience, Dhankhar highlighted the unity across party lines during times of personal difficulty. &#8220;This has been an enlightenment for me\u2014when such situations arise, our hearts are connected. This will serve as a source of inspiration to me,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further mentioned that <em>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/em> visited him at <em>AIIMS Delhi<\/em>, where he was admitted on <em>March 9<\/em> and later discharged on <em>March 12<\/em> with medical advice to take adequate rest. Several other leaders wished to visit but were unable to due to hospital restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lively Exchange with Opposition Leader<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Recalling a lighthearted moment, Dhankhar shared an interaction with <em>Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Derek O\u2019Brien<\/em>. &#8220;When I called <em>Derek O\u2019Brien<\/em> to wish him on his birthday during my recovery period, he told me, \u2018Shut up and take rest,\u2019 irrepressible as usual,&#8221; Dhankhar said with a smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Back in Action<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday marked Dhankhar\u2019s return to the <em>Rajya Sabha<\/em> following his discharge. Welcoming him back, <em>Union Minister JP Nadda<\/em> wished him a speedy recovery, good health, and a long life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leader of the Opposition <em>Mallikarjun Kharge<\/em> also expressed his appreciation for Dhankhar\u2019s dedication to his duties. &#8220;I thought the Rajya Sabha Chairman would take another four to six days to return.
