Chief Minister Omar Abdullah<\/strong> announced today that the shift of Planning Department\u2019s functions to the Finance Department<\/strong> is under government review<\/strong>, ensuring necessary modifications if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f \u201cThe Government is reassessing the decision to transfer the Planning Department\u2019s functions to the Finance Department and will make changes as needed.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar, who holds charge of both departments, made this statement during Question Hour<\/strong> in the Legislative Assembly in response to NC MLA Javid Hassan Beig\u2019s queries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar clarified that fund allocation\u2014whether Revenue or Capital Expenditure\u2014is strictly managed by the Finance Department<\/strong>, as per statutory norms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responding to PDP MLA Waheed ur Rehman Para\u2019s query<\/strong>, Omar revealed that NHPC has earmarked \u20b928.674 crore for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in J&K<\/strong> for FY 2024-25<\/strong>, as part of its \u20b9167.93 crore<\/strong> pan-India CSR budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
