The expedition, led by <strong>Team NIMAS (National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports, Arunachal Pradesh)<\/strong>, was <strong>flagged off<\/strong> by <strong>Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The primary goal of the mission is to <strong>hoist the Tricolor<\/strong> atop <strong>Mt. Kangchenjunga (8,586m)<\/strong>, India\u2019s <strong>third-highest peak<\/strong>, as part of the <strong>\u2018Har Shikhar Tiranga\u2019<\/strong> initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Col Jamwal &amp; NIMAS: Record-Breaking Legacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under <strong>Col Jamwal\u2019s leadership<\/strong>, <strong>NIMAS has set numerous records<\/strong>, the most recent being in <strong>February 2025<\/strong>, when <strong>Team NIMAS became the first-ever team to raft the entire 1,040 km stretch of the Brahmaputra River<\/strong>, setting a new <strong>world record<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mt. Kangchenjunga, known for its <strong>harsh weather, technical challenges, and avalanche risks<\/strong>, is considered <strong>even tougher than Mt. Everest<\/strong>.
