JAMMU<\/strong> \u2013 In a bold and assertive statement, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha<\/strong> clarified today that the recent transfer of 48 JKAS officers<\/strong> was well within the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019<\/strong>, amid strong objections from the opposition, including the Omar Abdullah-led Government-in-waiting<\/strong> and alliance partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t done anything outside the Act. I know my limits and will never cross them,\u201d<\/strong>
\u2014 LG Manoj Sinha in an interview aired on national TV.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDelimitation, then elections, and then Statehood \u2014 in that sequence,\u201d he reiterated.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople visiting the Valley are our brand ambassadors,\u201d he said.<\/strong>
\u201cPakistan is frustrated; its efforts to create disturbances will not succeed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAssam Rifles and CRPF have taken positions. There is full coordination among forces,\u201d he added.<\/strong>
\u201cThe people of Jammu have never supported terrorism. Peace will return swiftly.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
