Union Health Minister and BJP President J.P. Nadda<\/strong> took aim at opposition-led state governments, stating that those which didn’t implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme<\/strong> were voted out, and predicted West Bengal<\/strong> would be next. His remarks came during the MoU signing for the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM)<\/strong> with the Delhi government<\/strong> on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Ayushman Bharat \u2013 PMJAY<\/strong> (AB-PMJAY) is now active in Delhi, expected to benefit 36 lakh<\/strong> people, including 6 lakh senior citizens<\/strong> (above 70), regardless of economic status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The scheme provides \u20b95 lakh health cover<\/strong> per family. Delhi adds an extra \u20b95 lakh, taking the total coverage to \u20b910 lakh<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Over 8.19 crore people<\/strong> have received treatment under AB-PMJAY, with the government spending \u20b91.26 lakh crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Nadda emphasized that AB-PMJAY is an assurance scheme<\/strong>, not insurance \u2014 the government guarantees the health coverage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • He claimed out-of-pocket healthcare expenses<\/strong> dropped from 62% to 38%<\/strong> due to the scheme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Nadda accused Delhi\u2019s previous AAP government of blocking health benefits for years and said \u201cwrong governments<\/strong> deny people their rights\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • He warned that West Bengal is the only major state left not implementing the scheme and hinted political change is imminent there too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Delhi\u2019s Role in PM-ABHIM:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    • The Centre and Delhi<\/strong> signed an MoU to implement PM-ABHIM<\/strong>, which focuses on pandemic preparedness and health infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Delhi was allocated \u20b92,406 crore<\/strong> under PM-ABHIM, but Nadda said the AAP government had earlier resisted it, even going to Supreme Court<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • BJP\u2019s new Delhi CM Rekha Gupta<\/strong> announced:\n

      • \u20b91,749 crore<\/strong> has been approved to establish:\n

        • 1,139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 11 Integrated Public Health Labs (IPHLs)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • 9 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • She claimed AAMs would offer better healthcare than AAP\u2019s mohalla clinics<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
