{"id":1912,"date":"2025-05-08T04:49:08","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T04:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/duggarsamvad.in\/?p=1912"},"modified":"2025-05-08T04:49:10","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T04:49:10","slug":"pakistan-shells-civilian-areas-in-poonch-after-indian-strikes-on-terror-camps-gurudwara-homes-damaged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/duggarsamvad.in\/?p=1912","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Shells Civilian Areas in Poonch After Indian Strikes on Terror Camps; Gurudwara, Homes Damaged"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a desperate and brutal reaction to India\u2019s deep strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu &amp; Kashmir (PoJK), the Pakistan Army unleashed heavy shelling on <strong>Poonch town<\/strong> and adjoining civilian areas late last night, causing civilian casualties and severe damage to homes, shops, and the historic <strong>Gurudwara Singh Sabha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf03 <strong>Night of Terror<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shelling began around <strong>2 AM<\/strong>, catching residents of Poonch off guard.<br>\u201cMortars started raining in Poonch town at 2 AM and continued intermittently till 11 AM,\u201d said a local official.<br>Police and local volunteers scrambled to evacuate victims amid relentless explosions. \u201cWe started shifting the injured to hospitals at midnight, but it was extremely dangerous,\u201d said one police officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd4c <strong>Damage to Religious, Civilian Structures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The prominent <strong>Gurudwara Singh Sabha<\/strong> and several nearby houses sustained direct hits. Many shops, homes, and other buildings were also damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis was barbaric and cowardly,\u201d said one resident. \u201cTargeting unarmed civilians is not bravery \u2014 it\u2019s desperation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents described a sleepless night with shells landing close to homes, leaving many families to flee to safer locations or seek shelter with relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2694\ufe0f <strong>Indian Army Retaliates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Indian Army responded <strong>swiftly and effectively<\/strong> at all locations along the LoC.<br>\u201cPakistan is retaliating to India\u2019s operation by targeting the civilian population,\u201d said <strong>Sardar Navneet Singh<\/strong> from Mankote. \u201cThey missed the military targets and shelled us heavily overnight, killing our people and injuring many.
