In a significant push towards renewable energy, Jammu and Kashmir’s Satish Sharma emphasized innovative solar energy solutions during his visit to Tawanai Ghar, Bemina.

On October 19, 2023, the Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, and IT outlined the urgent need for practical solar energy initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability in the region.

During this pivotal visit, Sharma stated, “The Government is committed to making Jammu and Kashmir a model in the adoption of renewable energy technologies.” With abundant sunlight, Jammu and Kashmir has immense potential for solar energy utilization, which is becoming increasingly essential amid rising energy demands and ecological concerns.

Sharma pointed out that Mission Solar Energy, an ambitious initiative by the Chief Minister of J&K, requires all stakeholders to contribute actively. He highlighted this commitment by saying, “It is our duty to harness solar energy in a scientific and result-oriented manner.”
