Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting today at Raj Bhavan in Jammu at 11 am. This significant gathering aims to assess the security landscape in the Union Territory, particularly amid rising tensions at the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan.
Sources indicate that top officials will brief LG Sinha on the current security scenario, covering various pressing issues including winter preparedness and the recent escalation of incidents along the LoC. This meeting underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining order in the region.
The UHQ serves as the command for security and intelligence operations in Jammu and Kashmir. It includes high-ranking officials from various security bodies, including the Army’s Northern Command, which actively monitors developments along the international borders.
Participating in this vital review are Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Duloo, and heads of various paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies. The upcoming meeting follows the last UHQ assembly conducted in May 2023, after the successful completion of ‘Operation Sindoor.’ During that meeting, Lt.
