External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spearheaded a series of high-profile diplomatic engagements on Tuesday, meeting global leaders on the sidelines of Raisina Dialogue 2025, India’s premier geopolitics and geoeconomics conference.
Jaishankar’s day commenced with a crucial meeting with British National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell, where both leaders deliberated on key bilateral, regional, and global security concerns. “Met UK NSA Jonathan Powell at #Raisina2025. Exchanged views on bilateral, regional, and global security issues,” he shared on X.
In another significant interaction, he met Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to discuss pressing issues related to nuclear safety and non-proliferation. “Delighted to meet DG @iaeaorg @rafaelmgrossi on the sidelines of #Raisina2025 today,” Jaishankar posted.
As the Raisina Dialogue unfolded, Jaishankar engaged in a flurry of diplomatic exchanges with several foreign counterparts:

🔹 Philippines: A strategic dialogue with Foreign Secretary Enrique A. Manalo focused on maritime security, infrastructure, and deepening ASEAN partnerships.
🔹 Maldives: Reviewing progress in bilateral cooperation with Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel.
🔹 Latvia: Exchanged views on Ukraine and EU relations with FM Baiba Braže.
🔹 Antigua & Barbuda: Strengthened cooperation in health, education, sports, and capacity building with FM Chet Greene.
🔹 Thailand: Discussed digital innovation, connectivity, and food security with FM Maris Sangiampongsa under the BIMSTEC framework.
🔹 Peru: Explored economic and infrastructure collaboration with FM Elmer Schialer Salcedo, while witnessing a historic agreement on archival documentation exchange.
