Omar Abdullah Conducts Aerial Survey of Flood-Hit J&K Areas

On Thursday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected villages in Kathua district. This initiative allowed him to interact with residents who suffered significant losses from the recent natural calamity, officials confirmed.

Abdullah’s decision to survey the area came in response to the widespread devastation caused by flooding, which has left many families homeless. During his visit, he met with residents of Duggain village in Billawar, whose homes sustained severe damage.

Besides Kathua, Abdullah is preparing to travel to the Mahore area in Reasi district to evaluate additional damage caused by the flash floods. Local reports suggest that various regions continue to struggle with the aftermath of the disaster, which has affected numerous villages.
