Former Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Botingoo area of Sopore. Prof. Bhat passed away on Wednesday evening at the age of 90. His funeral prayer, Nimaz-e-Jinaza, took place at Markazi Jamia Masjid Batingo Sopore on the evening of his death. “He was a lovable person who never cherished any kind of melancholy against anybody. Even when we differed in politics, he remained cheerful and accommodating,” Soz continued, emphasizing Bhat’s gentle nature and peaceful disposition.
