Congress Leaders Rally for Voter Rights at Uri Samelan
Congress leaders, including AICC General Secretary Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, emphasized voter rights at the Voter Adhikar Samelan held in Uri, Baramulla. Key leaders participated to empower citizens and promote voter engagement.

The Congress party’s commitment to enhancing voter rights took center stage on Sunday, as prominent leaders addressed the Voter Adhikar Samelan in Uri, located in Baramulla district. The event featured the participation of AICC General Secretary Incharge Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, along with JKPCC President Sh Tariq Hameed Karra and CLP Leader Shri G.A. Mir.
Organized by former Minister Shri Taj Mohiuddin, the Voter Adhikar Samelan aimed to raise awareness about the electoral process and encourage active voter participation. Esteemed attendees included senior Congress leaders and legislators such as Ex-Minister G.M. Saroori, MLA Nizamuddin Bhat, MLA Irfan Lone, and others.
During the gathering, Dr. Naseer Hussain highlighted the importance of voters understanding their rights and responsibilities. He urged citizens to engage in the electoral process, underscoring that informed voters make a robust democracy.
“It is essential for every citizen to exercise their voting rights,” asserted Dr. Hussain. He emphasized that voter empowerment is crucial for enhancing democratic values in the region.

Sh Tariq Hameed Karra also spoke about the need for comprehensive voter education initiatives tailored to local communities.
